OVERVIEW & CHALLENGE

A nationwide distributor of new OEM automotive parts operates strategically located distribution centers and more than 250 retail locations across the country. As order volume grew, the customer needed to move
beyond manually assembled RSC boxes and create a faster, more automated packaging process capable of supporting both retail distribution and online fulfillment.

THE SOLUTION

SupplyOne partnered with the customer to implement an automated packaging program designed around speed, consistency, branding, and freight efficiency.

  • Automated Pack-Out: Implemented rightsized carton equipment that automatically forms right-sized trays at each packing station, reducing manual box setup.
  • Custom Corrugated & Branding: Developed large and small corrugated trays with custom printed lids, including unique branded graphics for online orders.
  • Integrated Consumables Program: Supported the operation with corrugated, labels, and hot-melt adhesive through a managed VMI/RSA program.

THE RESULT

SupplyOne reduced average pack size by 20%+, lowering dimensional-weight shipping costs.
